Don Henderson : November 9, 192 1- November 2, 2001

The association and all of its friends lost a staunch supporter of the Houston Heights World War Il Memorial when Don succumbed to a massive heart attack after voting at the branch county courthouse on Pech Road.

Always supportive of the activities of the John H. Reagan WW Il Memorial Association with his time, talents and financial support, Don remembered the association in his will with a bequest of $50.000. His son presented the check at the next meeting of the association at the American Legion Hall and it was added to the existing maintenance fund.

The board voted unanimously to name its perpetual maintenance fund in his honor. The Don Henderson Memorial Maintenance Fund is now lnvested in a long term interest-bearing account. lts income is used to defray the monthly costs of maintaining the Memorial Plaza and Freedom Walk.
